About Mike
 Hey, I’m Mike Mackenzie, you can catch me weekends on MIX 94.1
So who am I? Well, I started my radio life as a little baby DJ in Allentown, PA (yea, like the Billy Joel song) back in 1988 when I was just 12 years old. I called Allentown home until 1995 when I moved to Harrisburg, PA to become the Production Director for Cumulus Media at WNNK-fm WINK 104. Then over the next 10 years I moved up the ranks at Cumulus to eventually morning drive as “Mackenzie In The Morning” at WWKL-fm HOT 92.
In 2004 I decided it was time to leave PA and try my luck on the radio in California, so I packed up my car, my house and my dog and headed to Orange County. After 2 years there NOT in radio, I was asked to come to a station in Palm Springs, CA. While Palm Springs is a great place to live if you love to golf every day and have a lot of money, it just wasn’t for me. I hate golf and I’m not rich.
So I figured one more move and this time I’m going to the place I have always loved and really wanted to live…LAS VEGAS!
Today I am working part-time at MIX 94.1 and full time as a voice over artist from my home studio here in Vegas. I have been the voice of a couple of national TV commercials and can be heard on several radio and TV stations around the country. It’s a pretty cool gig if you can get it! Family Guy, Golden Girls, MythBusters, Dirty Jobs and anything “behind the scenes”.

yes, in my bathroom

did the “stick” thing since I was 16, now…AUTOMATIC baby!
If you could have any pet, what would it be?
a monkey
Are you more of a hamburger person or hot dog person?
hamburger…cheeseburger to be specific.
What season of the year do you prefer?
Fall. I’m a Pennsylvania boy at heart and Fall is one of the most beautiful times
in PA.
What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
vanilla peanut butter ripple
Do you know how to juggle?
yes…I’m also an amateur magician

in most cases…good luck
